About the Department

The Department of Electrical Engineering was established in 1946 along with College of Engineering Anantapur. Department offers B. Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering; M. Tech in Electrical Power Systems and Power & Industrial Drives.The department also provides Ph.D. in full time and part time. The department has well furnished labaratories like Digital Signal Processing lab, Power Electronics Lab, Control Systems Lab, Electrical Machines Lab, Renewable Energy Lab etc.. The department has SIEMEN's Center of Excellence with Power & Energy studies Lab and Process Control Instrumentation Lab. The department accrediated by NBA in the years 2005, 2012, 2015 and 2022. The faculty in the department are highly qualified in the diversified areas like Electrical Power Systems, Power & Industrial Drives, Control Systems, Reliability Engineering and AI in various Electrical & Electronic applications. The department has MoU with Yathva Energy Systems Hyderabad etc.. The departments has notable alumni who occupied various prestigious positions around the globe.
